Henry Repeating Arms
The Henry X Model .45-70 Gov lever-action rifle brings modern tactical features to a classic platform built for serious hunting and large-game work. Chambered in .45-70 Government with a 4-round capacity, this compact 19.8-inch barrel rifle delivers the knockdown power hunters respect while remaining nimble in the field. At 7.4 pounds with an overall length of 38.6 inches, the X Model balances firepower with maneuverability—ideal for whitetail, bear, hogs, and elk hunters who need a dependable, fast-handling gun for close- to mid-range work.
What sets the X apart is Henry's integration of modern tactical accessories on a time-tested lever-action design. The blued steel receiver and round barrel pair with a black synthetic pistol-grip stock and solid rubber recoil pad to absorb the .45-70's substantial kick. A large-loop lever ensures gloved operation, while M-Lok slots and a Picatinny rail on the foregrip let you mount lights, lasers, or other gear without permanent modification. The threaded barrel opens options for suppressors or muzzle devices, giving you flexibility that traditional lever guns don't usually offer.
Sighting is handled by fiber-optic front and rear sights—fully adjustable at the rear—so you're ready to hunt right out of the box. The rifle is drilled and tapped for scope mounts (Weaver 63B compatible), letting you upgrade to magnified glass if you want. A transfer-bar safety keeps the gun secure, and the ambidextrous design works for both left- and right-handed shooters. The 1:20 barrel twist stabilizes .45-70 projectiles across the full range of factory and handload options.
The Henry X .45-70 is built for hunters and shooters who want a modern, adaptable lever gun without sacrificing the reliability and heritage that made Henry rifles legendary. Whether you're working timber, running a truck gun, or building a versatile large-game rifle, this compact powerhouse delivers.
