Henry Repeating Arms
The Henry Silver Eagle .22 WMR lever action rifle brings together historical craftsmanship and practical rimfire performance in a rifle that's as much a conversation piece as it is a shooter. Built on Henry's proven Golden Boy platform, this model chambers the punchy .22 Magnum cartridge—a step up from standard .22 LR in velocity and energy, making it suitable for small game hunting, pest control, and target shooting out to moderate distances. The Silver Eagle's distinctive aesthetic draws inspiration from an engraved, silver-plated Henry rifle presented to Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles during the Civil War era, with hand-cut receiver engraving that covers both sides and reflects that historical original.
Mechanically, the rifle handles like a classic lever gun should: smooth, intuitive, and reliable. The 20-inch octagonal barrel and semi-buckhorn white diamond brass sights deliver the traditional handling characteristics Henry is known for, while the nickel receiver and silver-finished accents give it a refined appearance that stands out among modern rimfire offerings. At 6.75 pounds, it's light enough for a full day afield and manageable enough for younger or less experienced shooters building lever-action fundamentals. The American walnut buttstock provides both comfort and durability, and the 16-round magazine capacity means fewer reloads between shooting sessions.
This isn't a tactical rifle or a workhorse farm gun—it's a rifle for shooters who appreciate historical design, quality manufacturing, and the satisfying mechanical simplicity of a lever action. Whether you're hunting rabbits and squirrels, knocking down targets at the range, or simply enjoying the mechanical elegance of a well-made firearm, the Silver Eagle delivers reliable performance wrapped in genuine American gun-making heritage.
