Henry Repeating Arms
The Henry Repeating Arms H012 Bears Leg is a lever-action pistol chambered in .44 Magnum/.44 Special that brings old-school firearm handling to a compact, modern platform. With its 13.8-inch barrel and pistol-grip synthetic stock, this 5.75-pound repeater splits the difference between a handgun and a rifle—nimble enough for backup, truck gun, or ranch work, but with the leverage and capacity of a true repeating action. The Bears Leg trades traditional rifle ergonomics for close-quarters control, making it an unconventional choice for shooters who value maneuverability and the raw versatility of .44 Magnum ballistics in a handheld package.
Construction centers on blued steel throughout: a round barrel threaded at 5/8x24 (ready for suppressors or muzzle devices), blued receiver, and traditional lever action with a smooth 1:20 twist rate optimized for .44 Magnum and .44 Special loads. The four-round capacity won't win speed competitions, but lever guns have never been about high round counts—they're about reliability and the satisfaction of manual cycling. A transfer bar safety keeps the firing pin locked until the trigger is pressed, giving you peace of mind during carry and handling.
Sights are honest and functional: a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with diamond insert for precision aiming, paired with a brass bead front sight that stands out in low light. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics if you want to add glass, and Henry includes an BB-RSM scope mount base for easy rail installation. Whether you're chasing steel plates, defending property, or just want a conversation-starting gun that actually shoots, the Bears Leg delivers compact lever-action firepower in a category all its own.
