Heckler & Koch
The Heckler & Koch MR556 M-LOK 12.5" handguard replaces the factory rail system on your MR556 platform rifle, giving you a slimmer, lighter profile and modern accessory mounting options. Built for shooters who want a tactical rifle that handles fast and stays nimble—whether you're running drills at the range, setting up for precision work, or building a compact duty rifle. This black anodized handguard strips weight without sacrificing modularity, and the M-LOK slots let you dial in exactly the gear you need.
The 12.5-inch length gives you adequate real estate for lights, lasers, grips, and rail sections while keeping the overall package short enough to maneuver in tight spaces. A flat-top Picatinny rail running the top of the handguard preserves your optic mounting options and maintains a traditional shooting platform for those who prefer it. The M-LOK attachment system underneath and to the sides provides a cleaner, lighter alternative to full-length quad rails—less bulk, less leverage on your hands, and easier access to the barrel for cleaning and maintenance.
This is a direct fit for the MR556 platform and serves anyone upgrading from a stock setup to something more customizable. Whether you're a competitive shooter, a hunter looking to modernize an MSR, or someone building a practical AR-variant, this handguard delivers function without unnecessary complexity.
| Length | 12.5 inches |
| Top Rail | Picatinny |
| Side/Bottom Attachment | M-LOK |
| Finish | Black anodized |
| Platform | Heckler & Koch MR556 |
Yes, this handguard is designed as a direct replacement for the MR556 platform.
This handguard uses both: a Picatinny rail runs along the top for traditional optic and rail-mounted accessories, while M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom offer a lighter, more streamlined way to attach accessories like grips, lights, and rail sections.
The top Picatinny rail will accept any standard Picatinny-mounted optic or rail. Accessories that use M-LOK will require compatible mounts. Existing quad-rail or other proprietary-mount gear may not be compatible without adapters.
The product record does not include weight specifications. Contact us for exact weight details if that's a critical factor for your build.
