Haydels
The Haydel's CS10 Carbon SpeckOpen single reed goose call is purpose-built for hunters targeting specklebelly geese. This single reed design delivers the specific vocalizations that speculums respond to, giving you a reliable tool for decoying birds into range. The carbon construction keeps things durable in the field while the open call design lets you produce authentic speck sounds without the complexity of multi-reed systems.
Single reed goose calls reward practice and technique—they're not push-button tools, but that directness is exactly why serious speck hunters prefer them. You get immediate feedback as you learn the call's voice, and once you dial it in, you can match the tonality and cadence that local birds recognize. The black carbon material is built to take the wear and weather of a season afield.
Whether you're working a pothole in the Prairie or setting up along a migration corridor, a call like this proves its worth when a flock locks in and commits. Haydel's has been making goose calls for generations—this isn't marketing hyperbole, it's the result of tuning these designs for real-world conditions and real geese.
