Grovtec
The GrovTec US Inc GTAC83 Cordura Rifle Buttstock Cartridge Holder is a slip-on ammo pouch designed to keep spare rifle rounds within arm's reach while you're in the field. Made from durable Cordura nylon and built right here in Oregon, this 6-round holder slides over your rifle's buttstock for quick access without adding bulk or weight to your carry. Whether you're hunting, running a precision rifle at the range, or training with your centerfire, having extra rounds secured to your gun beats digging through a pack or belt pouch when you need them fast.
GrovTec engineered this holder to take real use. The construction starts with bar-tack reinforced stitching—the same heavy-duty seaming you'll find on quality tactical gear. Elastic loops sewn directly to the body keep rounds snug and organized, so they won't rattle or shift when you move between positions. The Cordura nylon flap secures everything with velcro, protecting your ammunition from rain, dust, and brush while staying simple enough to open one-handed when it counts.
The slip-on design means no permanent modification to your rifle. It grabs your buttstock and stays put whether you're shouldering the gun or setting it down at camp. The 6-round capacity works for most hunting and range scenarios without oversizing your setup, and the low-profile fit won't snag on your shooting coat or pack straps.
The GTAC83 is a slip-on design, so it works with most standard rifle buttstock profiles. The elastic loops and Cordura body flex slightly to accommodate variation in stock diameter and shape. If you have an unusually thick or tapered stock, test the fit before relying on it in the field.
The holder accommodates 6 rounds. The elastic loops are sized for standard rifle cartridges, though exact fit depends on case diameter. Full-power rifle rounds (like .308, .30-06, 6.5 Creedmoor, and similar) are what this pouch was designed for. Very large or very small cases may fit loosely.
Yes—the buttstock location puts rounds within reach of your trigger hand without requiring you to unshoulder the gun. The velcro flap opens easily, and the elastic loops keep each round positioned for a fast grab. This design is built for hunters and shooters who might need a quick follow-up round.
The velcro is sewn into the Cordura nylon, and the flap is backed for a reliable bond. It's designed to stay closed during normal hunting and range activity, though extreme brush or constant snagging may loosen it over time. The bar-tack stitching keeps the flap attached even if velcro eventually wears.
