Grovtec
The GrovTec Steel Sling Swivel Studs with 1" Locking Swivels Set is a purpose-built upgrade for Remington 742 ADL rifles. If you're running a sling on a 742 and tired of improvised attachment points or hardware that doesn't quite fit, this kit gives you solid, reliable anchor points engineered specifically for your rifle. The set includes everything you need to add professional sling swivel capability to your hunting rifle without guesswork or gunsmithing headaches.
This isn't a one-size-fits-all bandaid. GrovTec engineered the adapter bolt and spacers to fit the 742 ADL and Standard models exactly—no forcing, no gap-filling, no compromises. The black oxide finish resists corrosion and blends with most rifle finishes, whether you're hunting in damp brush or dry canyons. The included pair of 1" locking swivels locks your sling in place, eliminating the slight rotation and movement you get from standard open swivels.
For hunters who value reliability and proper fit, this kit saves time and frustration. You get the adapter bolt, spacers, rear wood screw swivel stud, and the matched pair of locking swivels in one package—no hunting down compatible parts or improvising with hardware store fasteners. Install it once and forget about it.

No. This kit is designed specifically for the 742 ADL and Standard models. It will not fit BDL variants.
The set includes an adapter bolt, spacers, a rear wood screw swivel stud, and one pair of 1" GrovTec locking swivels—everything needed to add sling attachment to your rifle.
Locking swivels prevent the sling loop from rotating freely. This keeps your sling stable during hunting or shooting instead of spinning loosely at your shoulder, which can be distracting in the field.
The kit is designed for direct installation on compatible 742 models with the included components, though installation skill and tools required may vary. If you're unsure about DIY installation, consult a gunsmith.
