Grovtec
The Grovtec MCB Buttstock Sling Tail is a steel keeper attachment that solves a common rifle setup problem: getting a push-button sling to work with stocks that lack integral sling bases. If you've got a carbine or rifle stock with a sling slot but no built-in push-button interface, this adapter bridges that gap, letting you use modern push-button slings on older or simpler stocks without modification. It's a straightforward, durable solution for hunters and shooters who want to standardize their sling system across multiple rifles.
The MCB (Multi-Button Catch) base functions as a catch lock—a steel mounting point that secures your push-button sling tail. Installation is quick: it fits into sling slots found on many rifle stocks, so you don't need to drill, tap, or permanently alter your firearm. The included optional rubber O-ring serves two practical purposes: it dampens the click of the sling engagement (useful for silent field transitions) and provides additional retention so the catch lock stays put through rough handling in the field or vehicle.
Whether you're running a vintage hunting rifle, a custom build with a minimalist stock, or a carbine designed before push-button slings became standard, the MCB Buttstock Sling Tail adds compatibility without the fuss. It's the kind of accessory that pays for itself the first time you need to quickly attach or detach a sling in the field.
The MCB is designed to fit many rifle stocks that have sling slots. Verify your stock has a compatible sling slot before ordering. If you're unsure, contact us with your stock model and we can help confirm compatibility.
The included rubber O-ring dampens the sound of the sling catch engaging (eliminating the click) and provides additional grip to keep the catch lock securely in place, especially useful if your rifle sees regular use in the field or vehicle.
No. The MCB Buttstock Sling Tail is designed to fit into existing sling slots on compatible stocks without drilling, tapping, or permanent modification to your firearm.
