Griffin Armament
The Griffin Armament Dual-Lok Flash Suppressor in 9mm with 1/2x28 threading is a lightweight, intelligently engineered muzzle device built for shooters running suppressor-ready AR pistols, sub-gun platforms, and 9mm host firearms. Unlike generic flash hiders, this unit serves double duty as both a flash suppressor and a quick-detach mounting interface for Griffin's Dual-Lok suppressor ecosystem—meaning you get flash reduction now and the ability to add hearing protection later without swapping muzzle devices or dealing with timing complications.
The design philosophy here is pure Griffin: do one thing and do it smart. The flash suppressor features three tines with integrated anti-resonance geometry to manage muzzle flash while reducing the ringing harmonics that can occur under rapid fire. Machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and finished in QPQ (a hardening process that boosts wear and corrosion resistance), this muzzle device tips the scales at just 2.4 ounces—genuinely lighter than most competing flash suppressors and quick-detach mounts. That weight savings matters on a 9mm platform where every fraction of an ounce affects handling and recoil impulse.
The Dual-Lok mounting system itself is the standout feature. The muzzle device integrates 60 machined spline positions; the corresponding suppressor mount has two locking positions machined 3 degrees out of phase, creating 120 total engagement points. That redundancy kills rattle, ensures zero POI shift between mount and unmount cycles, and eliminates the need for shims or timing—just thread it on, attach your suppressor, and go. Because there are no consumable parts wearing out, you won't be chasing replacements or wrestling with baffle strikes from a loosening mount.
Installation is straightforward: wrench flats are provided, and the 1/2x28 thread pitch is standard for 9mm suppressors and hosts. If you're building a 9mm rifle, PCC, or pistol that may someday wear a suppressor, this muzzle device gives you the option without forcing you to buy one today.
| Caliber | 9mm |
| Thread Pitch | 1/2x28 |
| Spline Diameter | 1.075 inches |
| Unit Body Diameter | 0.93 inches |
| Overall Length | 1.9 inches |
| Weight | 2.4 ounces |
| Material | 17-4 PH stainless steel |

| Mounting System | Dual-Lok (120 effective positions) |
| Installation | No timing or shims required |
The 1/2x28 thread pitch is standard for 9mm rifles, carbines, pistol-caliber carbines (PCCs), and 9mm host firearms. Confirm your barrel's thread pitch before ordering.
Yes. The Dual-Lok Flash Suppressor is designed to integrate with Griffin's Dual-Lok suppressor mounting system, providing 120 secure mounting positions and zero POI shift between attach and detach cycles. If you're using a non-Griffin suppressor, this device functions as a standalone flash suppressor without the quick-detach benefit.
No. The Dual-Lok Flash Suppressor is installed with simple wrench flats—no timing, shims, or tuning is needed. Thread it on, apply appropriate torque, and you're ready to fire.
The Dual-Lok system is engineered for Griffin Dual-Lok suppressors. Compatibility with other suppressor brands depends on whether they support the Dual-Lok mounting interface. Check with the suppressor manufacturer or Griffin Armament for cross-compatibility details.
