Griffin Armament
The Griffin Armament Optimus 6 is a 6mm suppressor built for shooters who want real flash and sound reduction without the backpressure penalty that slows down your rifle's performance. This is a 3D-printed (additive manufactured) can engineered from the ground up to balance low backpressure with serious noise suppression—a combination that sets it apart in a market full of compromises. It's rated for full-auto use and comes dressed in FDE Cerakote, so it handles both duty and hunting roles without looking out of place on your rifle.
Griffin took years perfecting suppressor design before committing to additive manufacturing. The result is the Optimus 6: a printed core machined to a smooth, finished exterior (no visible print layers), paired with a blast shield and mounting system laser-welded from 17-4 stainless steel. That hybrid construction means it's tough enough for hard use and straightforward to warranty if something goes wrong. The quad-tine flash hider endcap was tuned alongside the high-flow baffle stack to kill muzzle flash in a way that few low-backpressure suppressors can match. Across a standard 11.5" test platform, you're looking at a -22.2 dB reduction—that's 137 dB of measured sound on a known setup.
This particular model ships as a Utility Mount (HUB) variant in FDE. That means you'll need to source a muzzle device and HUB insert separately to match your caliber and thread pitch—Griffin doesn't bundle those, so plan accordingly. If you prefer something simpler, the Taper Mount DUAL-LOK option includes the necessary brake hardware. Either way, you get a lifetime warranty and a suppressor built to handle centerfire rifle use with the efficiency of modern additive manufacturing and the durability of traditional machined stainless steel.
| Caliber | 6mm |
| Tube Diameter | 1.73" |
| Material | 17-4 H900 Stainless Steel |
| Finish | High Temp Cerakote (FDE) |
| Mounting System | Utility Mount (HUB 1.375" 24 TPI) |
| Sound Reduction | -22.2 dB (137.0 dB on 11.5" test platform) |
| Full-Auto Rated | Yes |
| Warranty | Perpetual Lifetime |
No. The Utility Mount (HUB) version does not include a muzzle device or HUB insert. You'll need to purchase a compatible muzzle device and mount interface separately. The Taper Mount DUAL-LOK variant includes an EZ-Brake, so if you want everything in one box, that's the alternative option.
Testing on an 11.5" Griffin MK2 platform with 55-grain ammunition shows a -22.2 dB reduction, measured at 137 dB. Real-world results vary with rifle length, ammunition, and environment, but the high-flow baffle design is tuned to deliver both low backpressure and strong flash and sound suppression.
Yes, the Optimus 6 is full-auto rated and engineered to handle sustained fire without compromising performance or durability.
The Optimus 6 uses additive manufacturing (3D printing) for the core baffle stack, which allows Griffin to optimize internal geometry for flow and pressure while reducing overall backpressure. The blast shield and mounting system are still machined and laser-welded from stainless steel for strength and warranty support, so you get the precision of printing with the robustness of traditional metalwork.
