Great Lakes Firearms
The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 5.56 is a no-compromise rifle built in Michigan for hunters, sport shooters, and tactical enthusiasts who want accuracy and reliability without breaking the bank. Chambered in .223 Wylde—a chamber that shoots both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition—this 16-inch rifle handles whatever rounds you feed it, giving you flexibility at the range or in the field. The stainless steel heavy barrel (HBAR) with a 1:8 twist rate is built for tight groups, and the Cerakote finish resists corrosion and wear. At 6.8 lbs with a 33.25-inch overall length, it's light enough for a day in the field yet substantial enough for serious accuracy work.
Built on a 7075 aluminum upper and lower, this AR-15 features a full-length Picatinny rail handguard (15.25 inches) that gives you unlimited mounting options for lights, lasers, or optics. The carbine-length gas system with a 0.750 gas block keeps the action smooth and reliable, while the mil-spec 5.5–6 lb trigger breaks cleanly. A muzzle brake is included and threaded with a standard 1/2×28 pattern, letting you swap accessories as your needs change. The M4-pattern feed ramps ensure reliable feeding, and the mil-spec polymer grip is comfortable for extended shooting sessions.
What sets this rifle apart is the American flag cerakote finish—a distinctive look that turns heads without sacrificing durability. You get one 30-round magazine in the box, M4-compatible and ready to load. No sights come mounted, so you'll choose your own optic setup based on your mission. Whether you're zeroing a new scope, running drills at the range, or stocking a trusted rifle for hunting season, the Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 5.56 delivers the accuracy and ergonomics serious shooters demand.
