Great Lakes Firearms
The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 .223 Wylde 16" SS Zombie Splatter 30-round rifle is a dependable semi-automatic platform built for shooters who want a versatile, accurate mid-length carbine ready for the range or field. Built on a 7075 aluminum upper and lower receiver, this rifle chambers .223 Wylde — a chamber that reliably fires both standard .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition, giving you flexibility in what you shoot without compromise. The 16-inch heavy barrel comes in your choice of stainless steel or 4150 CRMOV nitride, both with a 1:8 twist rate and 1/2 x 28 threading for suppressors or muzzle devices. A carbine-length gas system with 0.750 black oxide gas block keeps the action reliable and controllable, while the 15.25-inch aluminum handguard with full Picatinny rail gives you plenty of real estate for optics, lights, or accessories.
This is a no-frills rifle that lets you build exactly what you need. It ships with a mil-spec polymer grip, a mil-spec trigger with 5.5–6 lb pull, M4 feed ramps, and one 30-round magazine. The forward muzzle brake is included and ready to install without Loctite. At 6.8 lbs and 33.25 inches overall, it's lightweight enough for extended shooting sessions yet substantial enough to manage recoil and stay on target. The Cerakote finish protects against wear and the elements, so you can focus on shooting, not maintenance.
Whether you're sighting in a new optic, training at the range, or zeroing in for a hunting trip, the .223 Wylde AR-15 is a proven, modular platform that rewards careful shooting. There are no iron sights on this model, so you'll want to mount a red dot, scope, or other sighting system — the full-length Picatinny rail is ready for it. Great Lakes Firearms builds this rifle to handle hard use and fast upgrades, so you can start basic and customize over time.
