The Great Lakes Firearms GL15 223WYL 16" left-handed rifle gives southpaws a serious platform built for accuracy and versatility. Chambered in .223 Wylde—a cartridge that cycles both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO—this semi-auto delivers the flexibility shooters want without compromise. A 16-inch heavy barrel paired with a 1:8 twist keeps groups tight whether you're running commercial ammo or surplus, and the rifle's modular design means you can tailor it to your mission.
Built on a 7075 aluminum upper and lower, this left-handed rifle is lightweight at 6.8 lbs without scope or mount, making it handy in the field or at the range. The 15.25-inch aluminum handguard is fully railed on the picatinny system, so mounting an optic, light, or rail accessories is straightforward. You get a mil-spec polymer grip and carbine-length gas system with a 0.750 gas block tuned for reliable cycling. The included muzzle brake comes threaded 1/2x28 and is pre-fitted without Loctite—simply wrench it into place if you need to adjust it later.
This is an honest, no-nonsense rifle. It ships with one 30-round magazine and feeds via M4-compatible ramps. There are no iron sights, so plan on adding your own optic or backup irons to your rail. The trigger breaks at a mil-spec 5.5–6 lb pull—predictable and safe. Whether you're heading to the range, training, or building a left-handed AR platform from a proven foundation, the GLFA GL15 offers solid construction and the practical versatility that lefty shooters deserve.
