The Geissele Super Ambidextrous Charging Handle Assembly for AR-15 brings serious build quality and functional design to your rifle platform. Machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with Type 3 hard coat anodizing, this charging handle is built to handle hard use—whether you're running a suppressed short-barrel setup, competing on the clock, or putting rounds downrange at the range. The ambidextrous lever configuration lets you operate the handle cleanly from either side of the receiver, a genuine advantage if you shoot left-handed, transition sides during tactical drills, or just want the flexibility.

What sets the Super Charging Handle apart is its attention to ergonomics. The dual-contoured lever design—with radius cuts along both the x and y axes, inspired by the M14 charging handle—gives your thumb and fingers multiple natural engagement points. The checkered surface texture grips through gloves, so cold weather, sweat, or tactical kit won't slip you up when you need a positive purchase. That elevated rear lip isn't just for show: it shields your face from gas blow-back when you're running a can on a short barrel, a real comfort gain on suppressed guns where cycling is already aggressive.

Available in black or DDC (Desert Dirt Color), the Geissele Super is the kind of upgrade that feels worth the investment the moment you lock it into your upper receiver. It's precise, it's durable, and it transforms what should be a simple control into something you actually want to handle repeatedly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this charging handle truly ambidextrous?

Yes. The Super features lever handles on both sides of the assembly, allowing you to operate it from either side of your rifle with equal ease. This works whether you're left-handed, switching shoulders, or just want the flexibility.

Will this help with suppressor blowback on short-barrel rifles?

The elevated rear lip is designed specifically to mitigate gas blow-back when shooting suppressed or short-barrel setups, offering meaningful protection to your face and eyes during operation.

What's the texture like, and will it work with gloves?

The handle surface is checkered for a textured, non-slip grip. This texture is specifically engineered to maintain positive control even when operating with gloves on.

What finish is more durable?

Both the black and DDC finishes use the same Type 3 hard coat anodize process, so durability is equivalent. The choice comes down to your rifle's color scheme and your personal preference.
