Geissele Automatics
The Geissele Automatics Mk 8 15'' M-Lok Super Modular Rail is a free-floating handguard built for shooters who want genuine modularity without sacrificing weight or strength. Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum extrusion, this single-piece rail system combines precision engineering with practical field flexibility—ideal for AR-15 builds where you're still dialing in your final accessory layout or need to swap gear depending on the mission.
What sets this handguard apart is the sheer number of M-LOK mounting points distributed along its entire 15-inch length. That means you can position tactical rails, lights, lasers, and other attachments exactly where they make sense for your shooting style, in 45-degree increments. The two cross bolts clamp the rail securely to a matching aircraft-grade aluminum barrel nut with hardcoat anodized finish, ensuring rock-solid stability shot after shot. The free-floating design isolates the barrel from contact, a proven approach for consistent accuracy.
Weighing in as a genuinely lightweight option for a 15-inch rail, the Mk 8 won't fatigue your arms on long range days or extended field use. Two standard QD (quick-detach) slots on either side give you quick-mount options for slings or accessories. The Ddc finish—Geissele's proprietary tan color—blends seamlessly with modern furniture and most contemporary rifle builds.
One detail worth noting: this handguard does not include a gas block, so plan accordingly if you're assembling from scratch or swapping uppers.

| Brand | Geissele Automatics |
| Length | 15 inches |
| Mounting System | M-LOK |

M-LOK (Modular Light-weight Mounting System) uses slots milled along the rail at 45-degree intervals, allowing you to attach accessories like rails, lights, and foregrips anywhere you need them. Unlike Picatinny rails that cover the entire length, M-LOK keeps the handguard lighter and cleaner-looking while still offering unlimited modularity.
Yes—the Mk 8 is free-floating, meaning it clamps to the barrel nut and barrel extension but does not contact the barrel itself. Free-floating isolates the barrel from vibration and flex in the handguard, which many shooters find improves consistency and accuracy, especially at distance.
No. The Mk 8 is sold without a gas block, so you'll need to source one separately if you're building from bare receivers or replacing an upper.
Ddc is Geissele's proprietary tan color finish. It's a modern, neutral tone that pairs well with current tactical furniture and other earth-tone components.
