The Galco SAO148 is a tan leather belt slide holster purpose-built for single-action revolvers like the Ruger Blackhawk, designed for hunters and outdoorsmen who need a durable, versatile carry option in the field. Whether you're working brush country, packing into remote terrain, or staying armed in bear habitat, this right-handed holster gives you the flexibility to carry strong side or crossdraw—your choice depending on the situation and how you're moving that day. Premium saddle leather construction means it'll age and toughen alongside your outdoor pursuits, not fall apart after a season or two.
The retention strap keeps your revolver secure when you're navigating dense cover, climbing, or working around camp. Tension screws let you dial in the fit to your specific Blackhawk, so the draw is smooth and consistent every time. The holster fits belts up to 1¾ inches wide, giving you solid options for everyday carry or heavy field belts designed to support a loaded pack.
If you're serious about single-action revolver carry—whether for hunting, wilderness self-defense, or just honest fieldwork—the SAO148 delivers the kind of no-nonsense functionality and durability that makes sense in rough country. It's the holster you grab when you need something that works, not something that looks good on social media.
