The Galco High Ready HR186B chest holster is a reliable carry option for hunters, backcountry shooters, and outdoorspeople who need their firearm accessible across rough terrain without a traditional belt. Designed as a right-hand draw chest rig, the HR186B positions your gun at mid-torso height—ideal when you're wearing a pack, heavy outerwear, or navigating dense brush where a hip holster catches on obstacles. Galco engineered this holster to fit shooters up to a 58\" chest, making it compatible with layered field conditions and multiple body types.
Chest holsters have a dedicated following among backcountry hunters and wilderness guides because they keep your firearm stable and immediately available whether you're glassing from a ridge, wading through timber, or working in rough country where your hands need to stay free. The High Ready rides high enough to stay clear of backpack straps and low enough to be accessed without contortion—a practical sweet spot that generic shoulder rigs often miss.
Built by Galco, a maker with deep roots in the working leather holster world, the HR186B reflects decades of design intent for real outdoor use. The black finish is durable and easy to maintain on the trail. If you're running a chest rig for the first time, the HR186B's straightforward design and proven fit make it a solid entry point into this category of carry.
