The Galco AV212R Avenger OWB holster is a right-hand, outside-the-waistband carry solution built for 1911 pistols with a 5-inch barrel and red dot mounted sights. If you run a modern optic on your carry gun or compete with a red dot-equipped 1911, this tan leather belt holster is designed to get you into the fight without snags or fumbling. Galco engineered the Avenger around the principle that speed and reliability matter more than trends: a reinforced mouth prevents the holster from collapsing on the draw, molded sight rails guide your optic safely out of leather, and a neutral cant positions your gun for a natural shooting grip the instant it clears the holster.

Premium steerhide construction means the Avenger will break in, mold to your gun, and age into character with use. The adjustable tension unit lets you dial in exactly how much resistance you want during the draw—tight enough to retain during movement, loose enough to avoid fighting the holster when seconds count. The design accommodates belts up to 1¾ inches wide, so whether you're running a duty belt or your everyday carry rig, the holster will lock in securely.

The Avenger fits a wide range of 1911 variants across multiple manufacturers: Colt, Kimber, Para USA, Remington R1, Ruger SR1911, Smith & Wesson SW1911, Springfield, Taurus, and AMT models. If your 1911 is a 5-inch government model with or without a red dot, check the compatibility list below. This is a purpose-built OWB holster—not a minimalist kydex experiment, but a leather design that's earned its reputation among shooters who value retention, accessibility, and longevity.
