Frabill
The Frabill Torpedo Trap is a minnow trap built for anglers who need to reliably catch live bait in rivers, creeks, and stillwater. Its distinctive torpedo shape cuts through current without rolling or lodging in debris, while the streamlined design works equally well in calm water. Whether you're stocking a live well for bass, pike, or walleye fishing, this trap gives you a no-fuss way to gather minnows where you need them, when you need them.
Construction matters when your bait trap spends the season wet. The Torpedo Trap uses heavy-duty vinyl-dipped steel mesh that resists corrosion and handles the wear of repeated dunking and retrieval. The black finish isn't just for looks—it blends into underwater structure and reduces light reflection that might spook baitfish before they enter. A spring clip closure keeps the trap secured once you've baited and set it, eliminating the frustration of lost catches.
The two-piece design is a genuine convenience. You can open the trap easily to bait it with corn, dough balls, or other attractants, then remove your catch without wrestling with a tight opening. No special tools or wrestling with wire—just load, close, drop, and retrieve. At 10" × 9.75" × 9", the trap is compact enough to stash in a tackle bag but roomy enough to catch a solid session's worth of bait.
