Fortis Manufacturing, Inc.
A solid-aluminum upgrade for your AR-15 platform, the Fortis Billet Dust Cover is purpose-built to replace the factory ejection port cover on mil-spec uppers. Where polymer dust covers flex and wear, this one is machined from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum and hardened with Type III anodize—the same material spec used in aerospace applications. It's the kind of upgrade that feels substantial in hand and shrugs off the abuse that comes with hard use at the range or in the field.
The flat dark earth (FDE) finish pairs the durability of billet aluminum with a color that works across modern rifle builds and blends naturally in field conditions. Installation is straightforward—it drops into any mil-spec AR-15 upper without modification, and the included spring and C-clip mean you've got everything needed to swap it in. At just 0.4 ounces, weight is negligible, so you're getting function and longevity without the trade-offs that come with heavier alternatives.
If you're building or upgrading an AR-15 in .223/5.56, a billet dust cover is one of those touches that signals attention to detail. It won't make your rifle shoot tighter groups, but it will keep debris out of the receiver and last as long as the rifle itself. Made in the USA, it's the kind of part that earns its place on a rifle you plan to own for a long time.
| Material | Aircraft Grade 6061-T6 Aluminum |

Yes, if your upper is mil-spec AR-15 in .223/5.56. The Fortis dust cover is designed to drop directly into any mil-spec upper without modification.
The dust cover comes with a spring and C-clip, so you have all the hardware needed for installation.
Aircraft-grade aluminum is inherently more durable and rigid than polymer, resists impact and wear better, and holds its finish longer. The trade-off is minimal weight for a part that contributes to the longevity of your rifle.
Yes, the Fortis Billet Dust Cover is made in the USA.
