Forster
The Forster Products Ultra Micrometer Seater Die for 223 Remington gives precision reloaders the fine-tuning control that separates competitive ammo from the rest. Built from quality steel and finished with hand polishing before and after heat treatment, this 223 Rem seater die delivers the concentricity and repeatability that serious shooters demand. Whether you're chasing sub-MOA groups or dialing in your load across multiple bullets, the micrometer adjustment lets you work in increments as small as 0.0005 to 0.001 inches—the kind of precision that matters when you're testing seating depth to optimize bullet-to-lands clearance.
What sets the Ultra Seater apart is its micrometer dial system. Once you've found your ideal seating depth for a given bullet, record the setting and dial straight back to it when you switch bullets or return to the load. No guessing, no trial and error. That efficiency pays dividends when you're working up precision loads or maintaining consistency across multiple test rounds. The die features Forster's Cross Bolt Die Locking Ring—a split ring that tightens from both ends rather than threading a screw directly into the die itself, protecting the die threads and ensuring a solid, repeatable lockup in your press.
This is a tool built for reloaders who understand that bullet seating is where minor improvements compound into tighter groups. Forster's reputation for tight tolerances and meticulous machining carries through in every aspect of the Ultra Micrometer Seater, from the steel quality to the hand-finished surfaces. If you're loading for precision rifle, benchrest, or long-range hunting, and you want to eliminate guesswork from seating depth, this die earns its place on your loading bench.

The Ultra Micrometer Seater includes a precision micrometer dial that allows you to adjust seating depth in increments as fine as 0.0005 to 0.001 inch, then record and return to those settings. This level of control is essential for precision reloading and tuning bullets to your rifle's lands. A standard seater lacks this fine adjustment capability.
Yes. Once you've set the seating depth for a particular bullet, you can record the micrometer reading and dial back to it when you switch to a different bullet or return to a previous load. This eliminates the need to re-establish seating depth each time.
The Cross Bolt Die Locking Ring is a split ring that tightens from both ends rather than threading a screw directly into the die threads. This design protects the die itself and provides a more secure, repeatable lock in your reloading press.
Yes. The micrometer adjustment and tight tolerances make this die well-suited to precision rifle and benchrest applications where seating depth optimization directly impacts accuracy and consistency.
