Forster
The Forster Products 6.8mm Western Benchrest Seater Die is built for reloaders who demand precision ammunition, especially for benchrest competition and long-range shooting where concentricity and bullet seating straightness directly affect accuracy. Unlike conventional seating dies that can introduce angular errors, the Forster benchrest seater uses a close-fitting chamber design that cradles the case, bullet, and seating stem in perfect alignment—preventing the bullet from cocking or starting into the case neck at an angle. This engineered support system lets you produce exceptionally straight rounds shot after shot, which is why serious benchrest and precision rifle shooters reach for Forster dies when every tenth of a millimeter matters.
Forster's commitment to manufacturing quality shows throughout the design. Each die is precision-machined from high-grade steel to exacting tolerances, then hand-polished before and after heat-treating to ensure a superior finish that resists wear and maintains dimensional integrity over thousands of loading cycles. The cross-bolt die-locking ring tightens from both ends of the split ring rather than relying on a direct screw into the die threads, distributing clamping force more evenly and protecting the die from damage caused by over-tightening.
If you're loading for the 6.8 Western and you're serious about group size and consistency, a benchrest-grade seater die is not a luxury—it's an investment in repeatability. Forster pioneered this design for a reason: it works.

A benchrest seater die features a close-fitting chamber that supports the case, bullet, and seating stem simultaneously, keeping everything in alignment. Standard seating dies use a fixed chamber with less support, which can allow the bullet to start into the case neck at an angle. For precision and concentricity, the benchrest design is superior.
This die is designed to seat bullets for the 6.8 Western cartridge. Use it with standard 6.8 Western cases, bullets, and reloading equipment from any manufacturer.
