Forster
The Forster Products 6.5x55mm Swede bench rest seater die gives handloaders the precision tool they need to produce consistently concentric, straight ammunition for competition and hunting. Built from high-quality steel and finished to exacting standards, this seater die is engineered around Forster's proven bench rest design—one that sets it apart from conventional seating dies by supporting the case, bullet, and seating stem in perfect alignment during the seating stroke. That alignment matters: it means your bullets go in straight, not at an angle, which translates to better accuracy downrange and more confidence in your reloads.
Forster's attention to detail shows throughout. Each die is hand polished before and after heat treatment to deliver a smooth, durable finish. The cross bolt die locking ring tightens both ends of the split ring evenly, applying pressure without threading directly into the die itself—a design choice that protects the die threads and keeps the locking mechanism stable through thousands of reloads. For the 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser, a cartridge popular in both vintage military rifles and modern hunting platforms, this level of precision makes a real difference in the handloading process.
Whether you're loading for an old Mauser, a sporterized rifle, or a modern 6.5x55 build, the Forster bench rest seater gives you control over bullet seating depth and alignment that conventional dies simply don't offer. It's the kind of tool that justifies its place in a serious reloader's bench—especially if you're chasing accuracy.

This die is chambered for 6.5x55mm Swede ammunition. It will fit rifles chambered in 6.5x55mm, including vintage Swedish Mausers, sporterized military rifles, and modern rifles built on 6.5x55 chambers. Verify your rifle's cartridge before ordering.
The Forster bench rest seater supports the case, bullet, and seating stem simultaneously in a close-fitting chamber, keeping all three components in precise alignment as the bullet is seated. Standard seating dies use a fixed chamber that may allow the bullet to enter the case neck at an angle. Forster's design produces straighter ammunition, which improves consistency and accuracy.
The cross bolt locking ring tightens both ends of the split ring evenly, applying clamping force without threading a screw directly into the die's threads. This protects the die and provides stable, repeatable clamping pressure across reloading sessions.
Yes, this is a reloading die designed to work in a compatible reloading press. You'll also need a press, shell holders, and other standard reloading equipment appropriate for your cartridge and setup.
