Forster
The Forster Products 300 Remington Ultra Magnum full length die set is the core reloading tool for hunters and precision rifle shooters who want to produce consistent, reliable ammunition for their magnum rifles. This two-die set includes everything most reloaders need to start or continue reloading 300 RUM rounds: a full length sizing die and a seater die, both built to Forster's exacting bench rest standards. Whether you're developing loads for long-range hunting or working up precision ammunition at the range, a full length sizing die set is the practical choice for shooters who prioritize repeatability and ease of use.
Forster dies are known in the reloading community for meticulous machining and hand finishing. Each die is manufactured from high-quality steel and hand polished both before and after heat treatment to achieve a superior surface finish. The full length sizing die features Forster's E-Z case neck expander system—a design that reduces neck runout and helps deliver the concentric, uniform rounds that precision shooting demands. All Forster dies ship with their Cross Bolt Die Locking Ring, which clamps the split die body by tightening the ends of the ring rather than threading into the die itself, a design that reduces risk of thread damage and makes adjustments more reliable.
If you're new to reloading rifle ammunition, a full length die set like this one is the best starting point. It sizes the entire case and sets the bullet seating depth in one straightforward press stroke, making it ideal for hunters who prioritize efficiency and consistency. Experienced reloaders also favor full length dies for general-purpose hunting loads and for ammunition intended for semi-automatic or bolt action rifles where headspace tolerance is less critical than in single-shot competition guns.

Yes, Forster dies are compatible with any standard reloading press that accepts 7/8"-14 threaded dies (the industry standard for rifle dies). Before you begin, verify that your press can accommodate the full length sizing stroke required for your 300 RUM cases.
The E-Z case neck expander is a Forster exclusive feature built into the full length sizing die. It expands the case neck uniformly and with less runout than conventional expander buttons, helping you create more concentric ammunition that shoots more consistently.
Yes. Full length die sets are the standard choice for hunters and are used by the vast majority of shooters who reload for bolt action and semi-automatic hunting rifles. The full length sizing and seater combination provides the efficiency and consistency that hunters need for reliable field ammunition.
