Forster
The Forster Products 22-250 Remington Bushing Bump Neck Die is a precision reloading die built for handloaders who demand consistency and control over their ammunition. Unlike conventional full-length sizing dies, this bushing-style die sizes only the case neck and adjusts headspace without collapsing the case body—preserving case geometry and extending brass life. The hand-polished construction reflects Forster's reputation for accuracy and durability in the reloading room.
This die ships with a decapping assembly that omits an expander ball; instead, your choice of bushing size determines internal neck diameter. That design puts you in control of how much you resize, allowing you to dial in the fit you want. It's ideal for reloaders chasing tight, consistent neck tension on 22-250 Remington rounds for target shooting, varmint hunting, or precision rifle competition.
Keep in mind: this die works exclusively with Forster bushings and is not compatible with Redding or Wilson aftermarket bushings. Bushings are sold separately and come in .001-inch increments, so you can fine-tune sizing to match your loaded round diameter. When ordering, select a bushing roughly .002 inch smaller than your fired and loaded case measures at the neck.
| Caliber | 22-250 Remington |
| Die Type | Bushing Bump Neck Die |
| Bushing Compatibility | Forster bushings only |
| Decapping Assembly | Included; no expander ball |
| Finish | Hand-polished |
| Bushing Sizing Increments | .001 inch |
This die is designed exclusively for Forster bushings. It is not compatible with Redding or Wilson bushings. Bushings are purchased separately and are available in .001-inch increments to let you match your desired neck sizing precisely.
Select a bushing approximately .002 inch smaller than the loaded round measures at the case neck. For example, if your loaded round neck diameter is .261 inch, you'd start with a .259-inch bushing. The .001-inch increments allow you to dial in the exact fit for your ammunition.
The die includes a decapping assembly without an expander ball. Your bushing selection controls the internal neck diameter, so there's no separate expander to adjust. Bushings must be ordered separately.
A bushing bump neck die sizes only the case neck and adjusts headspace without reshaping the case body. This approach preserves case geometry, extends brass life, and gives you greater control over neck tension—advantages valued by precision rifle shooters and dedicated handloaders.
