Flying Fisherman Glasses
The Flying Fisherman Rafter floating sunglasses are a small-fit, wrap-style design built specifically for anglers who need serious side coverage and won't tolerate losing gear to the water. Built from TPX™—a proprietary material that's lighter than water and less dense than standard plastic polymers—these sunglasses float, period. That means if they slip off the boat, fall into the river, or take a tumble off your head during a wade, you're getting them back. In matte black with blue mirror lenses, they deliver the low-profile aesthetics that work as hard as you do, whether you're sight-fishing shallow flats or working current in a drift boat.
The real workhorse here is the optics. Flying Fisherman's AcuTint® polarized lenses cut glare—the enemy of spotting fish—while boosting contrast and clarity across the water. They block 100% of UVA and UVB rays, so your eyes stay protected on long days. The triacetate lens material is impact and scratch resistant, which matters when you're handling lines, casting around trees, and generally moving fast in an angler's world. An anti-saltwater coating means they'll hold up to spray and the corrosive environment of saltwater fishing without degrading.
Durability is built in. TPX™ is not only buoyant; it's flexible, heat-resistant, and tough enough to take the bumps and flexing that come with actual use. The wide temples provide generous side blocking—critical for eliminating peripheral glare when you're glassed up hunting for rising trout or cruising for redfish. This is a small-fit frame with an eight base curve lens, so sizing matters; check your fit carefully before committing.
If you've ever watched sunglasses sink into a lake or had them knocked off mid-cast, the Rafter's floatation feature alone is worth the investment. Pair that with solid polarized optics, real durability, and a clean aesthetic, and you've got a pair of fishing glasses that won't let you down.

Yes. The Rafter frames are made from TPX™, a proprietary plastic polymer that's less dense than water and lighter than any other plastic polymer on the market. They will float if dropped overboard, into a river, or lost during a wade.
They're built with saltwater use in mind. The triacetate lenses include an anti-saltwater coating to resist the corrosive effects of spray and salt exposure, and the TPX™ frame material is highly durable and heat-resistant. They're suited for both freshwater and saltwater fishing.
Flying Fisherman's AcuTint® polarized lenses are designed to eliminate annoying glare while enhancing contrast and clarity, making it easier to spot fish and see through surface reflection. They block 100% of UVA and UVB rays for eye protection.
The Rafter is a small-fit frame, so sizing is important. We recommend verifying the fit before purchase—check with Flying Fisherman's sizing guidelines or consult with us to ensure they suit your face size and shape.
