Flying Fisherman Glasses
The Flying Fisherman Matecumbe in Tortoise Smoke Blue Mirror is a lightweight polarized fishing and water sports eyewear option built for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts who need reliable eye protection on the water. These glasses combine a classic tortoise frame finish with blue mirror lenses to cut glare and enhance visibility in bright conditions—essential gear whether you're working a shoreline, cruising from boat to boat, or spending long days in direct sunlight. At just 0.9 ounces, the Matecumbe won't weigh you down during extended wear.
The frame is constructed from TR-90, a flexible, durable material that handles the wear and tear of fishing life without cracking or breaking easily. Spring hinges built into the design provide a comfortable, adjustable fit that accommodates different head shapes and allows the glasses to flex rather than snap under pressure. Recessed nose pads keep the glasses secure and stable, while grip-tip temple pads ensure they stay in place even when your hands are wet or you're moving between casting and net work.
The 63mm lens width provides good coverage without excessive bulk, and the 8 base curve offers a natural field of view. Blue mirror lenses are particularly effective at reducing glare off water surfaces while maintaining color contrast—useful for spotting structure, baitfish activity, and other details that matter to successful fishing. This is a straightforward, no-nonsense option for anyone who fishes regularly and wants durable eyewear that won't quit.
