Federal
The Federal Top Gun Paper Wad 12 gauge shotshell is a clay target load built for shooters who want reliable, consistent performance at the trap, skeet, or sporting clays range without the environmental footprint of all-plastic wads. With a 2.75" hull, 1 oz of lead shot in 7.5 size, and Federal's paper wad design, this load delivers the kind of shot string and pattern consistency that's made Top Gun one of the most trusted target rounds in the game—and the paper construction means less plastic waste downrange.
The core of this load is Federal's commitment to brass-and-lead fundamentals: a high-quality lead payload, a cellulose-based filler, and a paper gas-sealing over-powder wad that work together to produce clean, predictable ballistics. The exclusive paper wad reduces environmental impact compared to traditional plastic-wad alternatives, which matters if you shoot regularly at ranges that require it or if you simply prefer to keep your shooting ground cleaner. A consistent, reliable primer and clean-burning propellant round out the package, so you can focus on breaking targets instead of chasing flyers.
Each box contains 25 rounds; a 10-box case is available for regular shooters and club members. If you're looking for a proven target load that balances performance with a smaller environmental footprint, the Federal Top Gun Paper Wad is a straight choice for your clay game.

7.5 shot is a popular all-around clay target size that works well for trap, skeet, and sporting clays. It offers a good balance of shot count and individual pellet energy for breaking targets at typical competition ranges.
A 10-box case contains 250 rounds (25 rounds per box × 10 boxes), ideal for regular clay shooters and club members who go through ammunition frequently.
No. The paper wad functions the same way as any over-powder wad—it seats the shot column, seals gases, and separates shot from powder. The only difference is the environmental benefit of reduced plastic downrange. Your shotgun cycles and patterns normally.
This is a target load, optimized for clay shooting. For hunting applications, choose Federal ammunition specifically loaded for game birds in your region.
