Federal
The Federal Premium Fire Stick muzzleloader 50 cal 80 gr PMZFS80T8 represents a fundamental shift in how modern muzzleloaders handle propellant. Instead of wrestling with loose black powder, patches, and weather concerns, you get a pre-measured polymer cartridge loaded with clean-burning Hodgdon Triple Eight powder—encapsulated, consistent, and ready to go. This is the breech-loading charge component of the FireStick system designed for the Traditions NitroFire rifle, paired with a muzzle-loaded bullet for a hybrid approach that combines the simplicity of cartridge shooting with traditional muzzleloader ballistics.
The core advantage is reliability without the headaches. Each Fire Stick charge is manufactured to the same tight tolerances and quality controls as Federal Premium factory ammunition, so you get shot-to-shot consistency that loose powder simply can't match. The polymer encapsulation makes the charge completely impervious to moisture and field conditions—no more worrying about powder degradation from sweat, rain, or humidity. Loading is straightforward: insert the Fire Stick into the breech, load your bullet from the muzzle, seat a 209 shotgun primer, and you're ready to shoot. When you need to unload without firing, the charge slips out quickly and safely—a huge advantage over trying to pull a stuck ball or dealing with a live powder charge.
The 80-grain charge in 50 caliber pairs perfectly with Federal Premium Trophy Copper and Lead Tipped muzzleloader bullets, giving you a complete system engineered to work together. If you're running a NitroFire or considering one, these Fire Sticks eliminate the variables that have plagued muzzleloader hunting for generations. You're not chasing consistency—you're buying it.
