Federal
Federal Premium Ultra Steel 12-gauge ammunition delivers the kind of extended range and tight patterns serious waterfowl hunters need when conditions demand steel shot. This 3.5-inch magnum load pairs a 1.5 oz payload of premium zinc-plated steel with Federal's FLITECONTROL FLEX wad system, a rear-opening design engineered to compress patterns and keep pellets together longer downrange. If you're hunting ducks or geese and want to stretch your effective distance beyond standard loads, this is the shell built for that job.
What makes Ultra Steel different comes down to the double-stack shot design: a mix of smaller and larger pellets working together. The smaller shot fills in the pattern for dense coverage, while the heavier BBs retain energy and deliver the knock-down power you need on birds at distance. The zinc-plated steel resists corrosion, the clean-burning propellant cycles reliably through your shotgun, and the consistent velocity of 1500 fps keeps shots predictable. You get 25 rounds per box, packed in the case quantity you specified.
Federal's reputation in waterfowl ammunition comes from obsessive attention to the details that matter in the field—primer reliability, powder consistency, and wad performance. Ultra Steel doesn't break that pattern. If your 12-gauge is seeing hard use in marshes, rivers, or coastal blinds and you're shooting at steel-required zones, this load is purpose-built for that environment.

This load is steel shot, which is required for waterfowl hunting in most regulated areas. Always verify your local and state regulations before hunting, as waterfowl seasons and shot restrictions vary by region.
This is a 3.5-inch magnum load. Your shotgun must be chambered for 3.5-inch shells and rated for steel shot. Check your barrel markings and owner's manual to confirm compatibility. Using ammunition your gun isn't rated for is unsafe.
This product is loaded with BB shot. The double-stack design uses primarily BB pellets (the larger size) combined with smaller shot to optimize both pattern density and effective range for waterfowl.
You get 25 rounds per box. The case quantity depends on your order—that's determined when you add the item to your cart.
