Faxon Firearms
The Faxon Firearms Slim 5.56 NATO 3-Port Muzzle Brake is built for shooters who need a compact brake without sacrificing recoil control. At just .620" in outside diameter, this brake is specifically engineered to work on short-barrel AR-15 builds—particularly 14.5" barrels pinned and welded to achieve a legal 16" overall length. Its slim profile means you're not eating up valuable real estate on the handguard, and you keep room to swap gas blocks and barrel nuts without wrestling around an oversized muzzle device.
Faxon machines these from 4150 steel and applies a QPQ finish, giving you a durable, corrosion-resistant brake that'll stand up to regular shooting and the occasional mud or dust. The three-port design bleeds gas to the sides and top, managing both recoil and muzzle rise so you stay on target between shots. With 1/2"-28 threads, it's the standard for 5.56 NATO rifle builds and fits securely hand-tight or pinned depending on your setup.
This is a solid choice if you're building a compact rifle for home defense, tactical training, or just want better control on a shorter platform without the bulk of full-size brakes. It's made to work hard in tight confines where space is at a premium.

Yes. The .620" diameter is specifically designed for compact builds. It can be pinned and welded to a 14.5" barrel to achieve a legal 16" overall length while keeping the handguard and gas system accessible.
Yes. The slim profile doesn't interfere with gas block or barrel nut removal, so you're not locked into your initial setup.
It uses 1/2"-28 threads, the standard for 5.56 NATO AR-15 rifles.
The three-port design manages recoil and muzzle rise, but the degree of felt reduction depends on your rifle's weight, barrel length, and ammunition. This brake is engineered for practical control on compact builds rather than maximum recoil attenuation.
