Faxon Firearms
The Faxon Firearms Gunner Duty Series 5.56 NATO 13.9" barrel splits the difference between two proven designs: it pairs the ruggedness of a government profile with the weight savings and quick handling of a pencil profile. The result is a mid-weight barrel that shifts your rifle's balance closer to your body, cutting fatigue during long days of shooting, training, or hunting. Built in-house in Cincinnati, Ohio from certified 4150 CMV steel, this barrel goes through full stress relief, air-gauge testing, and individual headspace verification—the kind of quality control that shows up downrange as consistent accuracy.
Every Faxon barrel starts with premium materials and doesn't skip a step. This one is button-rifled with a 1:18 twist, salt-bath nitrided inside and out for corrosion resistance and durability, and topped with an 11-degree target crown to support precision. The 1/2x28 muzzle threading and M4 barrel extension give you standard AR platform compatibility, so this drop-in fits your existing receiver and handguard setup without surprises.
Whether you're building a reliable duty rifle, setting up a repeatable training platform, or putting together a practical hunting setup, the Gunner profile delivers the balance (literally and figuratively) that keeps you comfortable and effective all day. The quality is baked in from raw material through final inspection—no corner-cutting, just a straightforward, dependable barrel that does the job.
