EGW
The EGW Sight Mount for Vortex Viper/Venom is a dovetail-mounted adapter designed to install red dot sights on the Taurus G2 and G3 pistols. This mount replaces your pistol's rear sight, giving you a clean, co-witnessed platform for compact reflex optics without permanent modification. The progressive-taper dovetail makes installation straightforward—slide it in from left to right, tighten the set screw, and you're ready to mount your optic. If you ever want to return to iron sights, simply remove the mount and reinstall your original rear sight.
Built for shooters who want a fast-acquiring red dot on a carry or range gun, this mount works specifically with Vortex Viper and Venom sights. It's a reversible solution: no gunsmithing, no permanent cuts, and no loss of your factory rear sight. The included mounting hardware and detailed installation guidance get you set up quickly, though having a qualified gunsmith perform the swap is recommended to ensure proper function and safety.
EGW engineered this mount with a progressive taper to minimize installation friction and improve the fit. Hardware includes button head cap screws (for Vortex Viper and Venom) and all the bits you need—just bring a 5/64" allen wrench. A small piece of paper between the optic and mount during installation helps prevent Loctite from bonding them together permanently, making future optic swaps painless.

Yes. Since the mount slides into the dovetail and doesn't modify the pistol permanently, you can remove it at any time and reinstall your original rear sight. This makes it a fully reversible upgrade.
The mount comes with 2 button head cap screws (for Vortex Viper and Venom), 2 flat head cap screws (for other red dot models), set screws, and the dovetail mount itself. You'll need to supply your own blue Loctite and a 5/64" allen wrench for installation.
Installation instructions are provided, but having a qualified gunsmith perform the swap is recommended to ensure proper function and safety. Improper installation may affect firearm reliability.
