EGW
The EGW Ruger M-77 Long Action scope base gives you a solid foundation for mounting optics on your Ruger M-77 rifle. This one-piece Picatinny rail is drilled and tapped to fit directly into your M-77's factory scope mount holes—no gunsmithing required. EGW machines these bases from 6061 T6 extruded aluminum, so they're rigid enough to hold zero without the weight penalty of steel. The full-width Picatinny slots meet MIL-STD 1913 specifications (±.002"), which means they'll accept any standard Picatinny or Weaver-style scope rings you already own or plan to add.
What makes this mount practical in the field is flexibility. Because the base is a continuous rail, you can slide your rings forward or backward to dial in eye relief exactly where you need it—no tools, no drama. Whether you're running a compact 2-7x or a long-range optic, the M-77 base adapts to your setup. EGW includes socket head Torx screws and the wrench you'll need to secure it; they recommend 20 inch-pounds of torque and a drop of blue Loctite on the fasteners for a permanent, reliable install.
This is the right choice if you want a no-compromise way to add a modern optic to a classic rifle without altering the gun itself. The aluminum construction keeps things light, the precision machining keeps things true, and the Picatinny standard keeps your options open.
