EGW
The EGW Marlin 917, 982 scope base gives you a one-piece Picatinny rail solution for these classic .22 rimfire rifles without any gunsmithing. If you're looking to upgrade optics on a Marlin 917 or 982 but don't want to drill and tap your receiver, this direct-fit base bolts to the factory scope mount holes and gives you full tactical flexibility in seconds. Built from 6061 T6 extruded aluminum, it's lightweight and rigid enough for the modest recoil of rimfire use—and tough enough to keep zero through repeated mounting and dismounting cycles.
The Picatinny rail accepts both Picatinny and Weaver rings, so you're not locked into any single ring manufacturer or height. That flexibility in eye relief and optic choice is genuinely useful if you already have rings in your parts box or prefer a specific brand. The cross-slots are precision gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specs to within ±.002 inch, so rings fit snug and repeatable every time. The tactical profile includes a milled center channel for weight savings—a nice touch on a rifle you'll be carrying all day.
Installation is straightforward: the base comes with socket head Torx screws and an included wrench. EGW specs 20 inch-pounds of torque and a small drop of blue Loctite to keep everything locked in place. If you run your rimfire hard at the range or in the field, this no-hassle upgrade means you can mount quality glass without any permanent modifications to your gun.
