Eagle Claw
The Eagle Claw Bronze Baitholder Hook in size 1/0 is a workhorse choice for catfish anglers and anyone targeting bigger freshwater species. These are forged hooks built to handle live and cut bait fishing, with a practical offset design that keeps your bait from sliding down the shank toward the bend—something anyone who's lost a presentation to a drifting minnow will appreciate. The bronze finish resists corrosion better than bare steel, making them reliable for extended trips on lakes, rivers, and reservoirs where you're soaking bait and waiting for a solid bite.
What sets a good baitholder apart is the attention to detail, and Eagle Claw included two barbs along the shank to grip your bait securely—whether you're threading a live shiner, pinning a cut herring, or rigging chicken liver for catfish. The sharp point penetrates cleanly and holds its edge through multiple fish and re-rigging. The ringed eye accommodates standard line and leader knots without fuss, and the offset bend mimics how natural baitfish sit in the water, which is exactly the presentation catfish and other bottom-feeders expect.
This is bulk fishing—100 hooks per pack—so you can stock your tackle box, share with your crew, or simply fish without worrying about running out mid-trip. Size 1/0 is the sweet spot for medium-to-large catfish, stripers, pike, and other species that respect a substantial offering. If you fish bait seriously, you'll burn through these, so having a full pack on hand is practical sense.

| Finish | Bronze |
| Eye Type | Ringed |
Size 1/0 is ideal for medium-to-large catfish, stripers, pike, and other predatory freshwater fish that take live or cut bait. It's substantial enough to handle bigger baits without being oversized for most freshwater applications.
The barbs grip the bait's body or flesh, preventing it from sliding down toward the bend during casting, drifting, or when fish mouth the presentation. This keeps your bait positioned correctly and improves hook-up odds.
The offset bend allows the hook point to ride more naturally in the water and angles away from the line, reducing the chance of the shank fouling your leader or creating slack. It's also the classic shape that keeps bait sitting the way fish expect to see it.
The bronze finish provides corrosion resistance, making them suitable for freshwater trips and conditions where you need durability. Bronze is not a saltwater-grade material, so for dedicated salt work, look for stainless or nickel finishes.
