Double Tap
The Double Tap Ammunition 257 Roberts +P with 120-grain Nosler Partition bullets is a potent handload for hunters and precision rifle shooters who demand performance from this classic cartridge. The 257 Roberts has a devoted following among those pursuing medium-sized game, and Double Tap's +P loading pushes it toward the upper end of its potential. Paired with the legendary Nosler Partition bullet—a controlled-expansion design that has earned its reputation through decades of reliable field performance—this load strikes a balance between velocity, accuracy, and terminal performance that suits hunters who know and trust their rifles.
Nosler Partition bullets are engineered with a dual-core design: a soft front section for rapid expansion and a heavy rear core for deep, straight-line penetration. For hunters working with the 257 Roberts on deer, pronghorn, and similar game, this construction means consistent performance regardless of distance or angle. Double Tap's quality control and consistent reloading practices help ensure round-to-round reliability, which matters when a good shot opportunity might not come twice.
This is a niche cartridge—your rifle must be properly headspaced for the +P variant—so verify your specific firearm's capability before ordering. If you already own a 257 Roberts or are building around one, and you want premium factory ammunition that respects the cartridge's potential, this load deserves consideration. Each box contains 20 rounds.

This is a +P loading, which means it produces higher pressures than standard 257 Roberts ammunition. Your rifle must be chambered specifically for the +P variant to use this safely. Each box contains 20 rounds.
Nosler Partition bullets are known for consistent, controlled expansion and deep penetration thanks to their dual-core design. They have decades of proven field performance among hunters who rely on dependable terminal ballistics.
