Double Star
The Double Star AR-15 Ace Ultra Lite Stock is purpose-built for shooters who demand minimal weight without sacrificing control or comfort. At just 5 ounces, this fixed stock is among the lightest options available for AR-pattern rifles, making it an excellent choice for hunters, competition shooters, and anyone who values every ounce in their rifle setup. The Ace Ultra Lite combines a machined aluminum construction with thoughtful ergonomic details that make it competitive with heavier alternatives while keeping your overall rifle trim and responsive.
The stock's defining feature is its soft foam overtube, engineered to deliver a consistent, comfortable cheek weld shot after shot. That foam interface reduces felt recoil and helps you maintain a repeatable sight picture, whether you're behind a scope or iron sights. The billet machined gusset reinforces the receiver extension tube at its most vulnerable point—directly behind the receiver—ensuring the stock can handle the cycling stresses of regular use without flexing or wearing prematurely.
Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable working on an AR platform: you'll need an A-2 buffer tube, rifle buffer, and rifle buffer spring. The stock ships with a removable 1/2" rubber butt pad, which you can attach to the aluminum butt plate if you want added recoil absorption or prefer a softer feel against your shoulder. Skip the pad for an even leaner profile if that's your preference.
