Do-It Products
The Do-It Weedless Round Jig mold in 1/2, 9/16, and 5/8 oz lets you pour custom jigs exactly matched to your fishing conditions—and your wallet. This is a lure-making mold for anglers who'd rather dial in their own soft-plastic presentations than pay retail markup on generic baits. Whether you're flipping heavy cover for bass, working grass flats, or matching the hatch on tournament day, casting your own round-head jigs gives you unlimited color and size options at a fraction of replacement-lure costs.
The mold uses a proven round-head design that's been refined with a modern hook setup: each cavity includes a Mustad 60° flat-eye wide-gap hook with a needle point and black nickel finish. That geometry keeps the hook point oriented upright during the pour and presentation, rather than rotating into awkward angles—a detail that matters when you're trying to penetrate heavy cover without snagging. The wide gap and needle point are built for solid hooksets in soft plastics and quick penetration on hard bites.
This is a working tool for DIY jig builders. Each cavity comes with a 1/8" x 1" base hole pin for consistent pours across all three weight options. Rig the finished jigs with your choice of trailers, soft baits, or specialty plastics; the collar design and ring accept standard configurations. If you tie or pour your own tackle, you already understand the value of controlling your inventory—and the satisfaction of catching fish on something you made yourself.
| Brand | Do-It Products |
| Product Type | Lure Mold |
| Weight Options | 1/2 oz, 9/16 oz, 5/8 oz |
| Hook Style | Mustad 60° flat-eye, wide-gap, needle point |
| Hook Finish | Black nickel |
| Base Hole Pin | 1/8" x 1" (one per cavity included) |
| Jig Head Profile | Round head, weedless design |
The mold is cast with a Mustad 60° flat-eye wide-gap hook in black nickel. The flat eye sits at a 60° angle, and the wide gap gives you better hook-setting geometry in soft plastics. The needle point and black nickel finish are durable and penetrate quickly. The flat-eye design also keeps the hook point upright rather than allowing it to rotate, which improves your chances of solid hookups in cover.
This single mold creates jigs in all three weights: 1/2, 9/16, and 5/8 oz. You control the final weight by how much molten lead you pour into each cavity. The included 1/8" x 1" base hole pin helps maintain consistency across pours.
The collar design and ring are compatible with standard soft-plastic trailers, craws, creature baits, and other attachment options commonly used in jig fishing. You can rig them however your local fishing conditions and target species demand.
Yes—the round-head jig is a fundamental and forgiving design to pour. If you've never cast your own tackle before, this mold and the included pin are a good starting point. You'll need basic lead-pouring equipment (melting pot, ladle, safety gear) and a work surface, but the mold itself handles the geometry for you.
