Do-It Products
The Do-It Walking Sinker Asst 1/8–1/2 oz is a sinker mold for anglers who hand-pour their own terminal tackle. This assortment gives you the mold cavity sizes to cast walking sinkers across a range of weights, from light 1/8 oz presentations up to heftier 1/2 oz sinkers for deeper water or stronger current. If you're serious about lure customization and want control over your sinker selection without buying pre-poured stock, a sinker mold lets you build exactly what you need for any condition.
Walking sinkers are engineered to move naturally along the bottom rather than simply sitting still or rolling unpredictably in current. The design is meant to pivot and slide smoothly, reducing the chance a fish will detect the sinker itself when it takes the bait. The streamlined profile also resists snagging and rolling, which translates to fewer lost rigs and more productive presentations in walleye water and other demanding fisheries.
Sinker casting is a practical skill for anglers who tie their own rigs or fish frequently enough that bulk customization pays off. With multiple cavity sizes in one assortment, you can experiment with weight and profile combinations suited to your local waters—and dial in finishes and materials to match your exact setup.
This mold assortment covers 1/8 oz, 1/4 oz, 3/8 oz, and 1/2 oz walking sinker cavities, giving you flexibility to cast sinkers for light presentations or deeper/faster water.
A walking sinker is designed to move naturally along the bottom and pivot at the connection point, allowing your line to slide through without the fish feeling unnatural drag from the sinker itself. This design is especially effective in walleye fishing and other species where fish are sensitive to unusual weight feel.
The product listing does not include information about required casting equipment. Consult Do-It's guidance on sinker mold casting setup and safety before beginning.
