Do-It Products
The Do-It Teardrop Jig Mold Asst 1/4-1oz lets you pour custom jigs tailored to your fishing style and target species. Whether you're a bass tournament angler, saltwater flats hunter, or weekend panfish enthusiast, casting your own jigs saves money and gives you complete control over head shape, weight, and hook selection. This teardrop mold produces a proven profile that balances casting distance with precise bottom contact and reactive swimming action.
The teardrop shape concentrates weight toward the front of the jig head, a design that delivers two distinct advantages on the water. On the retrieve, that forward-biased weight distribution creates a natural tracking and swimming action—the kind of stable, lifelike movement that draws strikes from bass, pike, walleye, and other predators. When you're jigging vertically or working deeper structure, the nose-heavy geometry produces a signature nose-down fall, letting the jig drop through the strike zone with authority while your trailer does the talking.
This assortment covers the range most freshwater and light saltwater anglers need, from 1/4-ounce finesse presentations in shallow cover to 1-ounce drops in deeper holes or current. Cast your own with confidence, dial in the exact color combos that match your local forage, and keep your box stocked without the retail markup.
The teardrop profile and weight distribution work well for bass, pike, walleye, and panfish in both freshwater and light saltwater. The range from 1/4 to 1 ounce adapts to shallow grass and cover at the light end, and deeper structure or current at the heavy end.
You'll need a melting pot designed for lead or other jig head materials, and standard jig-pouring basics like a thermometer and safety gear. Specific equipment requirements depend on your chosen casting material—check your material supplier's guidance.
The assortment covers 1/4-ounce through 1-ounce, giving you flexibility across shallow, medium, and deeper presentations.
Yes. When you're casting your own jigs, you select the hook size that matches your fishing target and forage—just ensure the hook fits properly in the mold cavity before pouring.
