The DNZ Game Reaper 1" Scope Mount in medium height is a purpose-built scope mounting system engineered specifically for Ruger American short-action rifles. DNZ machines these mounts from solid-billet aluminum in North Carolina, delivering a rigid, lightweight platform that locks your optic in place with zero moving parts between rifle and scope. If you run a Ruger American centerfire in short-action and want a mount that combines precision engineering with proven durability, this is a no-compromise choice for hunting, range work, or tactical applications.

What sets DNZ apart is the manufacturing approach: each mount is machined from premium billet stock rather than cast or stamped, which means tighter tolerances and better shock absorption across the board. The Game Reaper design keeps things simple—no springs, no pivots, no adjustment mechanisms to wear out or fail in the field. The medium height positions your scope tube 1.05" above the receiver centerline, a sweet spot that works with most modern hunting riflescopes and provides good cheek weld for most shooters. Ring-to-ring spacing measures 3.97" outside-to-outside on the short action, with standard 0.63"-wide rings and two screws per ring for secure hold.

Installation is straightforward: base screws are 6-48 x 1/4" and ring screws are 6-40 x 5/8", both using a 7/64" Allen wrench. The hole-to-hole spacing (0.86", 3.01", 0.86") ensures solid contact with Ruger American receiver geometry. Whether you're mounting a quality hunting scope or a precision optic for long-range shooting, a one-piece billet mount like this eliminates a major variable in accuracy. If you own a Ruger American short-action and you're serious about consistent shot placement, this mount will serve you reliably for years.
