Dewey
The Dewey .40 Mil/Le Pistol Kit is a purpose-built cleaning and maintenance set for .40-caliber service pistols used in military and law enforcement roles. Whether you're a duty shooter, competition handgunner, or serious recreational marksman with a .40, this compact kit gives you everything needed to keep your pistol running clean and reliable without the bulk of a universal setup.
Built around a 6-inch brass cleaning rod, the kit prioritizes protection for your bore and rifling—brass won't scar the steel like steel-on-steel can. You get a brass loop and bronze bore brush to match, plus Shooter's Choice FP-10 lubricant and cleaner in a .5 oz. bottle for thorough work on both internals and the action. The included GB-5 double-ended military parts brush handles tight spaces and small components with precision, and a silicone-impregnated cloth finishes the job by wiping down the exterior and internal surfaces.
Everything packs into a zippered vinyl pouch small enough to toss in a range bag, truck, or shooting pack. The design leaves room to add your own patches, solvents, or other maintenance items, so it scales with your needs. Straightforward, field-proven, no frills—exactly what you'd expect from a kit engineered for shooters who need their .40 to work every time.

Brass and bronze are softer than steel, so they clean effectively without scratching or gouging the bore and rifling. This is especially important for precision shooting where bore condition directly affects accuracy.
Yes. The kit is designed with room in the zippered pouch for additional items like cleaning patches, extra solvents, or other maintenance gear, so you can customize it to your routine.
