Dead Air
The Dead Air Armament PB445 Mojave piston is a precision booster component engineered for .45 caliber suppressed handguns, particularly those with tilting-barrel actions and European or custom M16x1LH threaded barrels. This piston works as part of the PB500 Booster Assembly system, pairing with an internal booster spring to cycle reliably across different host firearms while maintaining suppressor function and shot placement. If you're running a Mojave 45 suppressor on a non-standard or left-hand threaded barrel, this is the piston you need.
The M16x1LH thread pattern on the PB445 makes it the right choice when your barrel diverges from the common .578x28 standard—a real consideration for custom builds, European imports, and precision-threaded competition or hunting handguns. Dead Air designed this piston to handle the mechanical demands of centerfire suppression without degrading cycling or accuracy, letting you trust your setup whether you're at the range or in the field.
Like any precision suppressor component, the PB445 is built to tight tolerances and paired specifically with your Mojave 45 and booster spring. Verify your barrel's thread pitch and direction before ordering; a mismatched piston won't function properly and could compromise your suppressor or handgun.
| Caliber | .45 ACP |
| Thread Pattern | M16x1LH |
| Suppressor Compatibility | Dead Air Mojave 45 |
| System | PB500 Booster Assembly |
| Intended Platform | Tilting-barrel handguns |
The PB445 features an M16x1LH (left-hand metric) thread, making it compatible with European-threaded and custom-built barrels. Dead Air also offers the PB444 with .578x28 threads for standard barrels, and the PB446 with M16x1RH (right-hand metric) threads. Choose based on your barrel's actual threading.
The PB445 is designed specifically for the Mojave 45 suppressor. Do not use it with the Mojave 9 unless you've verified compatibility with Dead Air—mismatched components compromise suppressor function and safety.
The facts provided specify only the piston itself. The PB500 Booster Assembly system and booster spring are separate components; verify whether they are included or purchased separately based on your complete suppressor kit.
Yes. A piston with the wrong thread pattern will not fit or function correctly on your barrel, and forcing it risks damage to both the barrel and suppressor. Measure your barrel's threads carefully—metric vs. imperial and left vs. right-hand—before ordering.
