Dead Down Wind
A lot of hunters and shooters focus on scent control everywhere except the obvious: your lips. Dead Down Wind Lip Balm is an unscented, SPF 30 sunscreen stick designed to keep your mouth protected and scent-neutral during hunts and days in the field. Whether you're glassing for elk at elevation, sitting a stand, or working a stalk, this balm delivers broad-spectrum UV protection without adding scent that could tip off game. The unscented formula means you're not fighting odor in an area that's directly in a deer's, elk's, or turkey's line of breath.
Lip protection isn't glamorous, but it matters on long days outdoors. Sunburned lips dry out faster, crack, and can distract you when you need to stay focused. The SPF 30 barrier handles moderate sun exposure and works as part of a layered approach to field prep—especially useful if you're hunting above treeline, hunting snow, or spending hours on open water or flats.
The 0.15 oz size fits easily in a pack pocket, vest pouch, or pack kit, so there's no excuse to leave it behind. It's a small tool with a straightforward job: keep your lips functional and your scent profile clean.
