Dead Down Wind
Scent control in the field starts before you ever step into the woods—and that means your laundry. Dead Down Wind Unscented Laundry Detergent & Odor Eliminator is purpose-built to strip human odor from hunting clothes and gear without leaving behind the perfumes and dyes that spook game. Unlike conventional detergents, this 40 oz formula uses enzyme technology to target and break down odor-causing bacteria at the molecular level, giving you a genuine scent-free advantage rather than just masking smells with fragrance.
The detergent works across all your hunting garments—whether you're washing merino wool base layers, synthetic technical fabrics, or traditional cotton and blends. It tackles both fresh sweat odors and stubborn smells embedded in gear you've worn season after season. And because it contains no biocides, you're not sacrificing skin safety or durability for odor elimination. It's gentle enough for sensitive skin yet aggressive enough on the bacteria that actually gives you away in a treestand.
For hunters serious about wind and scent control, washing your clothes with the right detergent is as critical as the scent-blocking clothing itself. A 40 oz jug gives you multiple loads, making it a practical addition to your pre-season prep routine. Use it on everything from base layers and jackets to hat brims and neck gaiters—anywhere human scent can accumulate. One wash removes the odors conventional detergent simply masks, so you can focus on the hunting decisions that actually matter.
