Dead Down Wind
Dead Down Wind #1 Doe-P Calming Stick is a solid-form deer scent designed to help settle anxious deer and create a sense of safety in your hunting area. This 2.75oz stick works by mimicking the natural calming pheromones of a doe, making it especially useful during rut season or when you need to settle a nervous buck that's picked up on your presence. Rather than an aggressive lure, this is a confidence builder—perfect for hunters who want to keep deer relaxed and in the area longer.
The stick format makes application straightforward. You can rub it directly on surrounding vegetation, your clothing, or use it to mark your setup without the mess of liquid scents. The solid composition means it lasts longer in the field and won't evaporate as quickly as traditional pours, giving you extended scent coverage throughout your hunt. Whether you're working a stand, setting up a ground blind, or glassing from a distance, having a calming presence in your scent profile can make the difference between a spooked deer and one that commits.
Dead Down Wind's formula is built on natural doe pheromones, tapping into the biological triggers that tell deer everything is normal and safe. This makes the Calming Stick a solid addition to any serious whitetail hunter's scent arsenal, especially when used alongside your wind management and entry strategy. Keep one in your pack for situations where you've made noise, when deer are flighty, or whenever you need to rebuild confidence in your hunting area.

Yes. The Dead Down Wind Calming Stick is effective during rut season to help settle bucks that may be on edge or responding to other stimuli. Its pheromone formula works year-round to create a sense of safety and calm.
You can rub it directly on brush, branches, and vegetation around your stand or blind. You can also apply it to your clothing or gear. The stick format makes application simple and keeps your hands relatively clean compared to liquid scents.
The 2.75oz size provides extended field use. Duration depends on how heavily you apply it and environmental conditions, but the solid format means it won't evaporate as quickly as liquid alternatives, extending its effective time in the field.
This is a calming scent, not a traditional attractant lure. It works by mimicking natural doe pheromones to help settle anxious or spooked deer, making it useful when you need to rebuild confidence in your hunting area rather than draw deer from a distance.
