The Dead Air Key Mount Flash Hider in M14x1LH thread is a purpose-built muzzle device designed for shooters running Dead Air's KeyMo suppressor ecosystem on European and other rifles that use this less-common thread pattern. Built on a straightforward principle—manage flash signature without the audible "ping" that plagues conventional flash hiders—Dead Air engineered this unit with mass-balanced, equal-length tines that break up muzzle flash while staying quiet during operation. If you're suppressor-ready and tired of the distinctive ring that betrays your position, this is the flash hider that bridges the gap between bare muzzle and can installation.

The M14x1LH version fits .30-caliber barrels threaded to that spec, making it compatible with a range of European-pattern rifles and some precision platforms. The KeyMo mounting system integrates directly with Dead Air's Sandman Series suppressors and works with KeyMicro-equipped cans like the Wolfman, giving you flexibility in your suppressor family without swapping muzzle devices. The pre-drilled pin-and-weld hole at the 6 o'clock position means you can make this permanent if your local laws or rifle configuration call for it—or leave it free-floating if your setup allows suppressor removal. Carbon buildup won't lock the suppressor onto the mount, so you won't be fighting stuck hardware after a shooting session.

Machined from 4140 heat-treated alloy steel and finished in black nitride, this is a durable, corrosion-resistant piece built to handle field use and suppressed fire without degradation. At 2.70 inches long and just 4 ounces, it won't burden your rifle or noticeably shift balance. Whether you're setting up a precision rifle for long-range work, a hunting platform for backcountry use, or a tactical setup that demands sound and flash reduction, the Dead Air Key Mount Flash Hider delivers both capability and reliability without the noise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this flash hider work with my Dead Air suppressor?

Yes, the Key Mount design is fully compatible with Dead Air's Sandman Series suppressors and the KeyMicro-equipped Wolfman. If you own or plan to own any of these cans, this flash hider integrates directly with the KeyMo mounting system.

What caliber rifle does this fit?

The M14x1LH version is designed for .30-caliber rifles threaded to the M14x1 LH pattern. This thread size is common on European rifles and certain precision platforms. Verify your barrel's thread pattern before purchasing.

Can I make this a permanent installation?

Yes. The flash hider comes with a pre-drilled pin-and-weld hole at the 6 o'clock position, allowing you to pin and weld it permanently to your barrel if local regulations require it or if your rifle setup demands a fixed muzzle device. You can also leave it removable if your configuration allows suppressor removal.

Will carbon buildup lock the suppressor onto this flash hider?

No. Dead Air designed the KeyMo mounting system to prevent carbon-locking, so you can remove your suppressor easily even after extended shooting sessions without needing tools or extra force.
