The Dead Air Hub Taper DT 5/8x24 is a direct thread muzzle brake and suppressor mount engineered for shooters who demand both immediate recoil reduction and long-term suppressor durability. Built in stainless steel with a hard black nitride finish, this adapter threads directly onto 5/8x24 muzzle barrels—a standard pitch found on many modern rifle platforms. It serves double duty: as a standalone muzzle brake for faster follow-up shots, and as a precision-engineered interface for Dead Air suppressors.

What sets the Hub Taper apart is its gas management philosophy. By optimizing gas flow into the suppressor's blast chambers, it reduces the concentrated erosion that can prematurely degrade baffle systems. That means your suppressor lasts longer and performs more consistently across strings of fire. Whether you're running it bare as a brake or threaded under a suppressor, you get reliable recoil management and the mechanical simplicity of direct thread—no picky adapters, no loose muzzle devices.

Stainless construction and nitride finishing mean the Hub Taper handles hard use: range sessions, hunting in wet conditions, and years of shooting without rust or coating breakdown. If you're building or upgrading a rifle with a 5/8x24 barrel and want a single component that performs as both brake and suppressor mount, this is a no-nonsense choice backed by Dead Air's reputation for sound suppression engineering.

Frequently Asked Questions

What barrels does the 5/8x24 thread pitch fit?

The 5/8x24 is a standard muzzle thread found on many modern rifles. Check your rifle's muzzle specifications to confirm compatibility before purchase.

Can I use the Hub Taper as a muzzle brake without a suppressor?

Yes. The Hub Taper functions as a standalone muzzle brake, delivering recoil reduction and improved control on its own.

How does the Hub Taper improve suppressor durability?

The device's optimized gas flow design minimizes focused erosion on suppressor baffles, extending the suppressor's lifespan and maintaining consistent sound suppression performance.

What's included with the Dead Air Hub Taper?

The package includes the muzzle brake with Hub Taper design, ready to thread onto a compatible 5/8x24 barrel.
