Daniel Defense
The Daniel Defense PCC SBR 9mm 8.3 is a compact, AR15-style short-barreled rifle built for shooters who need serious capability in a highly maneuverable package. This pistol caliber carbine chambers the affordable, widely available 9mm round while delivering the handling and customization of a modern tactical rifle. Whether you're setting up a truck gun, building a home-defense carbine, or exploring what a truly compact PCC can do, the DD PCC SBR punches above its weight class without the bulk of a full-length rifle.
The 8.3-inch Cold Hammer Forged barrel is built for durability and consistent performance, with a 1:10 twist rate optimized for 9mm ballistics. The receiver platform is significantly shorter than a standard AR15, making this rifle genuinely compact—overall length runs 22.5 to 27 inches depending on buttstock position. At 6.1 pounds, it's light enough to handle all day without fatigue, yet rigid enough for reliable operation. The fully ambidextrous lower receiver lets you work the safety, charging handle, and mag release from either side without moving your grip hand, a feature that matters in real-world shooting.
The DD PCC SBR ships with a hydraulic buffer system that tames the recoil signature typical of direct-blowback 9mm rifles, keeping you on target through rapid fire. The 7-inch DD4 rail runs M-LOK attachment points, giving you full freedom to mount lights, slings, vertical grips, or other mission-specific gear. Magazine fed via common CZ Scorpion magazines—affordable, reliable, and easy to source in multiple capacities. The proprietary pushbutton mag release is faster and more intuitive than the paddle-style found on many competitors. The barrel threads 1/2 x 28 TPI, so you can suppress it or add an aftermarket muzzle device. Built in the USA and backed by Daniel Defense's reputation for quality and customer support.
Note: sights are sold separately, allowing you to choose the optic setup that fits your mission.
